How to put on the Boett blanket

The horse should be well groomed and free from any infections. Take time to show it to your horse, touch your horse's neck, body and head with the blanket, and let it smell it.

Take hold of the neckpiece, form it into a "ring", and pull it over the horse's head. Take up a position like putting on a bridle. Pull the ring of blanket carefully over the head and be sure that at least one eye won't be covered, stay calm and confident.

Now you can spread the blanket over the back, down to the tail.

Close the buckles around the hind-legs. The elastic band should be fixed quite loosely so the horse can move easily. Be carefull the back leg buckles fasten around each leg and they do not cross over to the other side of the horse.

Arrange the belly-flap with the small buckles to the horse's front.

Choose a good position for the elastic bands in the top loops so the belly-flap is spread comfortably around the belly and close the buckles.

Connect the belly-flap underneath the breast-part of the blanket. There you will find the matching buckles. Regulate the width of the shoulder seems with the lateral buckles.

Last check of the blanket all around - finished !
